this was brilliant despite/because of? the way i had no idea what was happening through the majority of the story, but it was so lovely and detached and the vibes were so strange that it was propulsive. i loved this the first time and i think it requires a reread which will probably make me adore it. the way bucky is written here is just phenomenal and his headspace is so bizarre and i believed every second of it.
