i have really liked a few fics by this author in the past, but this was both meh and cringe for me. i've never read a male lead that feels more woman-coded than steve in this, and i just. didn't like it. the writing itself was mostly fine to good, but this just isn't my kink, or at least it wasn't explored in a way i found satisfying. this literally ends with basically the entire avengers team walking in on bucky "raping" steve and it made me want to shrivel up and die on behalf of everyone involved. a shame because i really love the idea of exploring bucky's trauma through sexual dysfunction and some of the darker, tastier aspects of that. but this was just not it for me.
